About
Kristofer Wilson is a North Carolina-born, New York City-based actor.
When Kristofer’s brother dared him to audition for the school play during his freshman year of high school, he thought it would be a one-and-done…how wrong he was! That experience led to doing a play every semester for four years and then discovering that being an actor was what he needed to be.
Originally from Reidsville, North Carolina, Kristofer moved to New York City and is completing his BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch School of the Arts having trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. During this time he fell in love with classical language, physical devising and rooted himself in the works of August Wilson, William Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov, Lynn Nottage, Dominique Morriseau, and Sam Shepard all while discovering his capacity for serving & inhabiting the truth imbedded within a story. He aspires to tell stories of the black experience and make space for black voices in classical material.
When not on stage, you can catch Kristofer writing poetry, reading James Baldwin’s oeuvre, hitting the gym, or cooking up southern delicacies for his friends.
